Welcome to maru. By using the maru app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service. The maru app is developed and operated by Half Full Studios Limited, a company registered in New Zealand (NZBN 9429053822239, company number 9445408).
About maru#
maru is a marketplace and job board for New Zealand’s Korean community. We provide the platform that connects buyers, sellers, and job posters — we are not a party to any transaction between users, and we do not own, inspect, or guarantee any item, listing, or job posted.
Your account#
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use maru.
Acceptable use#
You agree not to:
- Post illegal, stolen, counterfeit, or prohibited items
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings or job posts
- Harass, scam, impersonate, or abuse other users
- Post content that sexually exploits or endangers children
- Attempt to disrupt, hack, or misuse the service
We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these terms.
Transactions between users#
Trades and job arrangements are made directly between users. maru is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of items, for payment between users, or for the conduct of any user. Please follow the safety guidance on our Support page.
Content you post#
You keep ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant maru a licence to host, display, and distribute that content within the service so it can be shown to other users.
Fees#
maru is currently free to use, with no listing fees or commissions. If we introduce paid features in future, we’ll make the terms clear before you’re charged.
Disclaimer and liability#
maru is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the service or from dealings with other users. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply.
Changes and termination#
We may update these terms or the service from time to time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. You can stop using maru and delete your account at any time.
